		<description>dialogue beats monologue most of the time. but sometimes dialogue is just too hard, too high a standard. Dialogue is overwhelming, so much so that some folks, like me sometimes, would rather say nothing than try it. Can&#039;t we settle for the humbler virtues of monologue--not quite as cool, but not quite as intimidating either.</description>

i sort of took myself out of the academic conference thing between 04-06 but when i returned i saw, like everyone else saw, the complete domination of powerpoint.

powerpoint encourages talks and presentations that are the exact opposite of what you liked so much with richard thompson&#039;s concert.

anyways, sounds like a great show!</description>
