		<description>Nice post - I&#039;m wondering whether there&#039;s different mystique/relationship demands based on the genre &amp; style of the music. Some music seems to demand a mythologization of the star, designed to be seen from a distance - Bowie in his heyday comes to mind here, as would most &#039;performative&#039; artists ranging from metal to glam to hiphop. Other styles invite intimacy and reward a relationship between fans &amp; artist where honesty and authenticity (or the simulation of those traits) pay off in the music - singer-songwriters, jam bands, and emo seem to fit here. Just a thought...</description>
